Cleveland Fisher Houses Grand Opening!!!

Cleveland Fisher House:

For the last three years, I have had the privilege of being a member of Team Fisher House, raising funds for the Fisher House Foundation at the annual Marine Corps Marathon & 10K in Washington D.C. The Fisher House Foundation is a nonprofit that works tirelessly to provide military service members and their families with temporary housing and support as they undergo medical treatment at hospitals and VA centers across the United States. Since its inception in 1990, the foundation has offered more than 8 million days of lodging to more than 350,000 military families, all at no cost! In reality, the Fisher House Foundation provides more than just lodging, as it  also helps families afford travel costs, provides meals and companionship, offers scholarships to military dependents, and more. There are currently 84 Fisher Houses across the United Sates with many more in the planning stages.

As a participant in the MCM 10K, I am incredibly excited to say that my team, Cleveland Cares, was recognized as a multi-year top fundraiser, raising over $19,000 for the construction of two Cleveland Fisher Houses! The homes are scheduled to open in early June, I will be sure to post pictures of the progress!
